My name is actually Andra, but I’ve been called Annie my whole life. Proving a compassionate presence and hospitality are my passions, so I am incredibly grateful to be the Spiritual Care Director for Madonna Living Community. I am originally from Ellendale, North Dakota, so despite being new to Minnesota, the winters don’t scare me.
I have a Masters in Divinity from Nazarene Theology Seminary in Kansas City, and was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in 2016. I served my home church as the Pastor to Youth and their Families and, for a time, as the interim senior pastor. I also worked at another Benedictine Health System facility (Prince of Peace Care Center) in Ellendale as their social service designee. It was this role that awakened my desire to combine spiritual care and healthcare, which led me to complete a chaplain residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. I was blessed to be able to provide spiritual care and be present with people facing a variety situations and crises.
I am engaged and will be getting married early June 2019, so I am thrilled to put down roots in Rochester with my fiancé. I am honored and feel privileged to be your Spiritual Care Director at Madonna Living Community. I am excited to have a chance to connect with you and your loved ones.
