Recognized Leader in Quality and Performance Excellence

Madonna Living Community has always taken great pride in the high-quality care and service we provide to our residents.

When it comes to helping our residents age well and live fully, we don’t rest on our laurels. We seek out ways to innovative and improve the level of care, services and supports we provide. Over the past year, we undertook a major initiative that is moving us forward on a path to continuous quality improvement and advancing performance excellence. And our efforts did not go unnoticed. In February, we were honored to be one of three organizations in the state to receive an Award of Merit in Performance Excellence in Aging Services.

We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment and know that it would not have been possible without our dedicated staff at Madonna Living Community who are united in our shared mission to witness to God’s love by creating compassionate communities providing support to those we serve to live fully and live well with special concern for the underserved and those in need.

An incredible, dedicated team, led by Christine Bakke, CEO/Administrator, spent more than eight months on this project. They first completed a detailed self-assessment that identified and prioritized improvement opportunities in our organization. The team then set out to close those gaps, and ensure we have effective systems in place to best serve & improve the lives of the people we serve, empower our staff teams, and achieve and sustain quality efforts more efficiently.

Quality never ends. It’s a continuous journey, and one we are better prepared to take because of our participation in Performance Excellence in Aging Services.

We will take what we learned over the last year to further engage all our staff – from certified nursing assistants, dining aides and wellness staff to social workers, nurses and management – in performance excellence. To better help them understand our mission and embrace values as they carry out their work to help our residents live well and age with dignity, meaning and purpose. That, combined with our continued commitment to help our older adults live their best lives, will greatly improve the experience of all who reside and work at Madonna Living Community.

Our staff and residents are integral to this continued commitment. As direct caregivers and care recipients, you know better than anyone else what works well and what could work better. We invite you to join us on our path to continuous quality, to share your ideas on how we can do better and look forward to the work that we will do together at Madonna Living Community.
