Dr. Rahma Warsame is a hematologist who specializes in treatment of blood cancers, specifically Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis. She is a Kern Scholar in the Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic. Her research focuses on patient-reported outcomes such as quality of life, how to ensure the patient’s voice is included in their care and financial burdens in cancer. Dr. Warsame hopes to develop workflows and processes to assess patients for their quality of life and provide clinicians with resources to help address these issues.
Dr. Warsame earned her medical degree from the Netherlands-Antilles. She completed her residency and fellowship at Mayo Clinic and joined the faculty in 2017.
