Dr. Michael Wilson is a critical care specialist, internist and pulmonologist. He is a Kern Scholar in the Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on ways for providers to improve their ability to deliver medical care that honors patients’ values, preferences and goals of care.
Dr. Wilson hopes to design and implement tools to improve how patients, family members and members of the health care team make decisions regarding life support in the hospital and have positive conversations on death and dying.
Dr. Wilson graduated from Brigham Young University and earned the MD from Oregon Health and Science University. He completed his residency and fellowship at Mayo Clinic, where he served as Chief Medical Resident in Internal Medicine.
